Pet Doors
"Pet Doors" also known as "doggy doors" are a convenience to many of us pet lovers, but if you have infants, toddlers and small children we must take precautions to protect them from hazards arising from owning a "pet door". Children that are not attended for a brief second can exit out one of these doors and then be in danger of drowning if you have a swimming pool, get electrocuted, dismembered, go out onto the street and get ran-over or hit by a motorist, mulled by an animal or even abducted, etc.... When supervision of children may become overwhelming, I know it can I have three, please lock all pet doors! If you do not have the locking type then safely block them with a large object.

Swine Flu
If "swine flu" is transmitted from swine to swine and from swine to human and then human to human is it not possible for transmission from human to family pets. If you are have or suspect swine flu in your household I believe that it will also be important to monitor family pets.

Pet Friendly Hotels
While on vacation I noticed hotels are now limiting the amount of pet friendly rooms available. They have been cut approximately in half. If you are vacationing with pets make sure your hotel understands that you are traveling with your pets and have a pet friendly room ready for you. Believe me it will save you a major headache.
